Rescue

The clouds fly away;
Leaving the sky exposed and naked.
Birds are sprawled across the vast blue horizon,
Like a thousand stars on a moonless night.
The glowing afternoon sun shatters despair;
And brings vivid dreams alive.

Dreams.

Dreams so real;
That they rescue you from reality.

Life is almost full of change. The only thing that doesn't change is the occurrence of change itself.
We live as eternal prisoners of our own desires.

Drifting

Reality pricked It’s inner being
Killing any sense of joy.
The sorrow around was just too much
For a simple being as Itself to take,
Pain was excruciating
And any sense of direction left was plastered off
With the sadness of reality;
It poisoned It’s sense of judgement,
Slowly slaughtering
The recognizable form  happiness
And lifted any ray of hope
That sought to land across
The wave of It’s oceanic life.

Joy and anything good
The world seemed to offer seemed surreal.
Sadness seemed to be etched far deeper
Into It than anything else…Dreamlike,
Was the world, lacking colour and music,
It figured that floating was the only way
To survive the world,
Simply letting the wind carry It’s decisions…

Sustaining It’s hapless presence.
Drifting away…Drifting toward a dimension
That craved It’s presence…
Drifting…
Simply drifting
Through the shadow of life.
 Seeking things
It did not know of.

Basking In Isolation

His eyes were closed.

Blind, he was to the things happening around.
Vision nullified, his ears served their purpose
Completely for once in his sorrowful life.
Each scream amplified,
Each vicious comment passed to inflict pain,
Each cry of agony echoing in his ears;
Not for a second longer could he stand it.

Time seemed to magically double itself,
The clock taking excruciatingly long
Passages of time to tick away.
He dreamed of escape,
Pictured his haven,
It’s vibrant colours and radiant shapes
Dancing in his tortured mind.

It held things that this misery
Filled world was deficient of.
The shadow of serenity dawned on him but,
Quickly vaporized with the lapse of every second
With which the cries only worsened.
He could take it no more.

He simply couldn’t.
He did what he had dreamed of doing all along.
He escaped.

His eyes now handicapped, his ears guided him.
They chiseled his sound path to freedom;
Listening to the movement of the cool wind,
The carefree leaves rustling past
And the echos of lies that people vulgarized.

He built a tower from sheer isolation;
With the last bit of bliss
That was sealed deep within his being.
He stepped in to the tower
Which occluded every morbid entity;
Crouched in one corner,
Resting his head between his bent knees,
Hoping to forever mask the world around him.

He basked in this thick air
Which smelled of hope.
He withdrew
And his perception of time was lost
In thoughts of forced comprehension.
He yearned to comprehend the meaning of existence-
Only to question everything
He felt, lived and believed.

Within Reach

I woke to find myself in a world;
Free from burden and monotony.
The deep slumber had soothed my hurt soul,
Giving me magically extended arms to reach out
And clasp the tendrils of Happiness
Which appeared to be swanning away
In search of things I did not know of.
Now,
Having opened my eyes to The Truth,
I am within the reach of Bliss,
Who had been eluding me up until now.
